Meet the Team
We are LifelinePi. Consisting of undergraduate students from four major universities and with extensive computer science, entrepreneurship, and engineering experience, we have been brought together by a collective drive to provide support to healthcare workers and patients during and beyond the pandemic.
LifelinePi was founded at the Georgia Tech + Emory COVID-19 Hackathon by Tech students Adam, Amir, and Reed. Their mission was to create an affordable and easy-to-use device for Reed's grandmother that enabled him to cheer her up with photos and videos sent directly to her TV. Today, we have expanded our team and original goal—accessible communication for in-need populations—to include live video calling and telehealth. In working with hospitals, we hope to improve patient satisfaction and safety by allowing them to see and hear their doctors through their TV at home, without the struggle of managing a computer or smartphone. In our first official pilot, we saw the personal impact of enabling family members to share videos of support to their loved ones, and we are eager to begin new pilots with larger health networks.
